Eric Bolling denied anonymous allegations that he had sent a lewd photo of male genitalia to several female co-workers at Fox News several years ago.

“The story is based on anonymous sources and not true,” Bolling’s attorney Michael Bowe told Breitbart Friday night. “No such unsolicited communications occurred.”

Fox News will investigate the accusations, which broke late Friday. “We were just informed of this late Friday afternoon via a HuffPost inquiry and plan to investigate the matter,” FNC said in a statement to multiple media outlets.

The bombshell allegations surfaced on Friday, after Yashar Ali — a freelancer for the Huffington Post — claimed anonymous sources told him that Bolling had texted “an unsolicited photo of male genitalia” several years ago. Ali wrote in HuffPo:

Eric Bolling, a longtime Fox News host, sent an unsolicited photo of male genitalia via text message to at least two colleagues at Fox Business and one colleague at Fox News, a dozen sources told HuffPost. Recipients of the photo confirmed its contents to HuffPost, which is not revealing their identities.

The women, who are Bolling’s current and former Fox colleagues, concluded the message was from him because they recognized his number from previous work-related and informal interactions. The messages were sent several years ago, on separate occasions.

Four people, outside of the recipients, confirmed to HuffPost they’d seen the photo, and eight others said the recipients had spoken to them about it.

When contacted by HuffPo, Bolling’s attorney said the “Fox News Specialist” host will defend himself against the “defamatory accusations.”

“Mr. Bolling recalls no such inappropriate communications, does not believe he sent any such communications, and will vigorously pursue his legal remedies for any false and defamatory accusations that are made,” said his attorney.

At this point, it’s unclear whether the anonymous accusations have any merit. But Eric Bolling is a rising star at Fox News, and that makes him a huge target for leftists determined to take down FNC. In June, Bolling revealed that he plans to run for senate someday.

“When the lights go down on my TV career, the next step is running for Senate,” he said. Bolling recently signed a long-term contract with Fox News as the host of “The Fox News Specialists.”
